Things to Do in Agra – Beyond the Taj Mahal

Agra is the same as the Taj Mahal, one of the most formidable monuments in the globe. The marble wonder is certainly something, but there is a lot more to Agra than just that. Agra has forts, Mughal tombs and sites, merchants and brands, as well as gardens, and now all of a sudden, you have a rich cultural journey. Walking through Kinari Bazaar not only offers a glimpse into everyday life in Agra, but the vibrant colourful lanes will also provide you with a raw, authentic, Indian experience.

5. Visit Akbar's Tomb in Sikandra

A short drive from the centre of Agra will take you to Akbar's Tomb in Sikandra. This grand mausoleum is a spectacle. Built by Akbar's son Jahangir, it reflects a unique mix of Hindu, Islamic and Persian architecture. You can take a peaceful stroll through the lovely gardens full of deer and peacocks. Just glimpsing the beauty of both Akbar's Tomb and the surrounding gardens, makes this a great place to take a break from sightseeing and relax.

6. Savor Authentic Mughlai Cuisine
